12 affordable UK universities with tuition from £8,500/year — full fee breakdown, entry requirements, and PKR cost estimates for Pakistani students.
The UK has over 130 universities and colleges with UKVI student visa sponsorship status. While top-ranked institutions like Oxford and Imperial charge £35,000+ per year, a large number of fully-accredited UK universities offer high-quality degrees at a fraction of that cost. Pakistani students can complete a 3-year bachelor’s degree at an affordable UK university and still access the 2-year Graduate Route work visa afterwards.
Quick Answer
The cheapest UK universities for international students charge from £8,500–£13,500/year. BPP University, University of Bolton, and Wrexham University offer the lowest fees. All are UKVI-licensed and qualify for the 2-year Graduate Route post-study work visa. For a 3-year degree outside London, total costs (tuition + living) start from approximately ₨1.5 crore.
Our consultants match Pakistani students to affordable UK universities based on their qualifications, budget, and career goals — and handle the full application.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bolton/Sunderland (lowest cost) | £33,000 | £27,000 | £60,000 | ≈ ₨2.14 crore |

Living costs based on modest student budget. Tuition assumes mid-range fees for the category.
The UK’s Graduate Route allows international students who complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the UK to stay and work (or look for work) for 2 years after graduation — or 3 years for PhD graduates. This applies to graduates of all UKVI-licensed universities, including the affordable ones listed here.
Unlike Canada or Australia, the UK Graduate Route requires no job offer, no minimum salary, and no employer sponsorship at the time of applying. It gives you 2 years to find skilled employment and transition to permanent residency pathways.
Check UKVI sponsor licence status
Verify on gov.uk/check-a-sponsor-licence that the university holds a current Tier 4/Student sponsor licence. Do not apply to any institution not on this list.
Confirm your qualification is accepted
FSc students typically need a foundation year. A-level holders (BBB or above) can often enter Year 1 directly. Contact the admissions team or use our consultants to verify eligibility.
Factor in city living costs
A £2,000/year saving on tuition can be offset if you choose a more expensive city. Bolton, Sunderland, and Teesside have significantly lower living costs than London or Edinburgh.
Look at course quality, not just price
Check the National Student Survey (NSS) satisfaction scores and graduate employment rates. A well-chosen affordable university will outperform a poorly-chosen expensive one for career outcomes.
Scholarships can reduce fees further
Many of these universities offer international merit scholarships of £1,000–£3,000 off tuition. Ask your university directly or use Futureign to identify available funding.
